Where have I been?

Note to self, you may be the wandering type but after 5 years of being a bit of a nomad it's time to live at the one place for a little while, MOVING IS TOO FUCKING HARD, if you start getting the idea of moving in the next couple years come back and remind your self of the exhaustion caused by moving all of the crap you own (which is about twice as much as it use to be I swear). I have a bunch of bruises on my inner left upper arm, no idea how it happened but there it is. Dad also said that next time I move I better have a boyfriend, husband or tribe of children to help me move.
I have first been packing then moving then buying more crap at IKEA, catching up on sleep and getting everything unpacked, I at least found my undies after a couple days ago \0/, still have a couple boxes left to unpack though and lots of papers that I have to go through.
I have a lot of posts to catch up on, a huge backlog going on but I will get to them eventually. Happy birthday to Shannon Letomostly thanks for all the fic that your birthday spawns .
On the weekend I moved we had a one in a hundred year storm, I know how to pick em, it came out of almost nowhere, we were expecting some showers but were not expecting a months rain in a day and hail the size of at least golf balls in our area and up to tennis balls in some other areas. The kitchen window in my old apartment was smashed by hail and the apartment next to it, which is on the third floor started flooding through the window all over her electrics. The city basically came to a standstill the streets in the cbd were rivers and the trains were stopped because the hail destroyed the roof at one of the stations in the cbd. No one was killed or severely injured which is incredible.
But my new place is pretty cool, my brother already had me laughing til I cried yesterday and I noticed outside my bedroom window that I live across from the Australian Croatian Community Services which makes me think of Tomo every time I see it.
I only found out a couple days ago that Bob has left My Chemical Romance and that they canceled their appearance at Soundwave so I'm glad that I decided not to buy a ticket a couple months ago because even though there were other bands that I wouldn't mind seeing the tickets are just too expensive if the band I want to be seeing don't show up even if they have a legitimate reason.
